EUROPA DONNA

EUROPA DONNA (ED), the European Breast Cancer Coalition, is an independent non-profit organisation whose members are affiliated groups from countries throughout Europe.
The Coalition works to raise awareness of breast cancer and to mobilise the support of European women in pressing for improved breast cancer education, appropriate screening, optimal treatment and increased funding for research. ED represents the interests of European women regarding breast cancer to local and national authorities as well as to institutions of the EU.

Short Guide to EU Screening and Diagnosis Guidelines - now available in English, French, Spanish, Turkish, Swedish, Italian, Polish, Greek, German, Georgian, Dutch, Russian and Portuguese! In October 2007 EUROPA DONNA published a "Short Guide to the European Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Breast Cancer Screening and Diagnosis", with the financial support of the European Union. This short guide highlights the main points of the 4th edition of full Guideline document: European Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Breast Cancer Screening and Diagnosis, published by the European Union in April 2006. Chapter 9 of the Guidelines covers the topic "The Requirements of a Specialist Breast Unit".
