EUROPA DONNA – The European Breast Cancer Coalition is dedicated to giving people with metastatic breast cancer the tools to advocate for best practices that address the unique needs of those living with the disease. Building upon our ongoing MBC initiatives, ED will hold its first EUROPA DONNA MBC Advocacy Conference in Milan, Italy from 9 to 11 June 2017. The conference will be open to approximately 50 MBC advocacy leaders from ED as well as from other organisations. Their travel and subsistence costs will be paid by ED.*
The MBC Advocacy Conference will involve a weekend-long exchange of ideas, experience and best practice. On Friday, an Opening Session will kick off the event followed by dinner and networking. Saturday will begin with speeches regarding treatment and research specific to MBC, followed by successful MBC advocacy strategies from across the globe. In the afternoon we will hold intensive advocacy skills training workshops which will be designed specifically for this programme, followed by feedback and presentations from the workshops. On Sunday morning, we will hold a review of the MBC advocacy toolkit and a discussion on next steps to move MBC advocacy forward.
Conference participants will be selected on a competitive basis. In order to apply, full applications should be submitted by 7 March 2017 to email@example.com and should include the following:
