We are Hiring a Social Media and Office Administrator

ED is seeking a Social Media and Office Administrator to start June 2023.

Background:

Founded in 1994, EUROPA DONNA – The European Breast Cancer Coalition is an independent non-profit organization whose members are affiliated groups from countries throughout Europe. The Coalition works to raise awareness of breast cancer and to mobilise the support of European women in pressing for improved breast cancer education, appropriate screening, optimal treatment and increased funding for research.

Europa Donna currently has national groups in 47 member countries. Its Head Office is located in Milan, Italy but it is an international organization whose official language is English, so all written and oral correspondence is in English.

The Position:

The candidate will have the following tasks:

  • Managing ED’s online presence, with a specific focus on targeting and engaging with national organisations and EU policy and decision-makers in the field of public health and breast cancer
  • Managing ED’s social media presence:
    • Managing and continuously updating the editorial plan
    • Creating effective and engaging content and campaigns daily, including clear, action-oriented messages and visuals
    • Engaging the online community by responding to posts and developing discussions
    • Monitoring and reporting social media performance
  • Assist CEO with preparation of .ppt presentations, speeches, interviews, draft of emails, etc.
  • Support ED Staff with the organization of events and congresses

Skills needed:

  • Mother tongue English
  • Experience as a social media manager (for at least 2 years), with solid knowledge of managing social media accounts, including community building and engagement, performance reporting, and the use of various tools and software, including networks analysis
  • University degree, preferably in a relevant field such as communication science, journalism, public relations, or marketing, with a proven track record in (public) health policy
  • Excellent copywriting skills
  • Skilled in basic graphic design and experienced in working with creative agencies is a plus
  • Strong, provable commitment to ED’s vision and values / personal experience of breast cancer
  • Knowledge of, or strong affinity towards health policy
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Pro-active, creative and curious
  • Experience in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment
  • Located in Milan metropolitan area
