Fiorita Poulakaki graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1996 and followed that with General Surgery at University Hospital “Aretaieion”, specializing in Breast Surgery.  While there, she worked in the Breast Unit from 1999-2004 and earned her PhD on Surgery. Upon completion of her specialty as a general surgeon in June 2004, Fiorita continued her training in breast surgery in the Breast Unit of St Mary’s Hospital, London. At St Mary’s she trained in the full range of oncoplastic techniques of breast surgery and especially immediate reconstruction after mastectomy. She is currently Head of the Breast Surgery Department at Athens Medical Group. She received FEBS, the European Diploma on Breast Surgery UEMS, European Board of Surgical Qualification on Breast Surgery-EBSQ and CEBS (European Breast Surgical Oncology Certification).  Since 2013, Fiorita has been an active member of EUROPA DONNA HELLAS and is an Executive Board member of EUROPA DONNA – The European Breast Cancer Coalition since 2019 and was elected Vice-President in 2022.
